Master Checklist

Your practical guide to staying organized, asking the right questions, and taking the next step toward college soccer.

Start where you are

One process. One step at a time.

The recruiting process does not follow the same timeline for every player. Use this checklist to focus on the steps that make sense for your grade, goals, and current situation.

You do not need to complete everything at once. Review your checklist each semester, revisit your priorities, and ask your Celtics coach when you need support.

Senior year: Compare and decide

Complete your applications, evaluate each opportunity carefully, and choose the path that fits you best.

  • Compare your actual net price after grants and scholarships, keeping loans and work study separate.
  • Ask whether athletic or academic aid can change and request scholarship terms in writing.
  • Confirm what your offer includes, how long it lasts, and what conditions apply.
  • Review any signing agreement carefully and ask questions before accepting an offer.

Your final decision

  • Ask direct questions about your potential roster role, coaching expectations, and team environment.
  • Consider academic programs, campus support, location, affordability, and your life beyond soccer.
  • Discuss your options with your family and Celtics coach.
  • Tell coaches respectfully when you have made a decision or are no longer pursuing their program.
  • Continue training, enjoy your final season, and celebrate the path you chose.
Remember: FAFSA opening dates, financial aid deadlines, visit rules, and signing documents can vary by year, school, division, or program. Verify the current requirements before making a commitment.

No. Your priorities depend on your academic goals, college interests, recruiting timeline, and the programs you are considering.
