Mike Wagner

At 6 years old I played soccer for the first time – I’ve been in love ever since.  Having grown up with a ball attached to my foot, I cannot believe the places in the U.S. and overseas the ball has taken me.  Victories, defeats, and life lessons alike; the beautiful game is still paying dividends in my life.  Now with the opportunity to coach, I get to see a different side of the game, learning new lessons.  My coaching style is a healthy mix of hard work, making mistakes, dedication, respect, and joy; I’d like to think my style is as applicable to Soccer as it is to life itself.  The fulfillment and joy I receive when coaching is 2nd to none! Having just moved to Chicago I’m honored to be part of The Celtics Organization and very excited to build with players, families, and the greater community for years to come.
