Bio
Born in Clinton, Iowa, Coach Brendan Johnson is dedicated to nurturing young soccer talent. A multisport athlete, he excelled in soccer, basketball, and more. At William Penn University, he played four years, transitioning from forward to centerback, and graduated in 2014 with a degree in Sports Administration.
Coach Brendan began his coaching career in 2018, leading the 6U-8U recreation program in Coralville. By 2019, he joined Iowa Soccer Club, eventually becoming the Assistant Director of Coaching. He has managed age groups from 9U to 19U, focusing on developing players’ ability to maintain possession and build play through the thirds. His goal is to prepare players for the next level, emphasizing adaptability and problem-solving on the field.
As a member of the Celtics family, Coach Brendan is excited to inspire the next generation of soccer enthusiasts.
